Creative Play
(Ages 4-5) Thursdays, 4:00 pm - 4:45 pm or Saturdays 9:00 am - 9:45 am
(Thursdays: January 12 - April 26 - NO CLASS APRIL 5; Saturdays: January 14 - April 29 - NO CLASS APRIL 7)
This introductory dramatics class, designed for the youngest actors, explores the most basic elements of acting and creative expression. Through simple theater games, puppetry, story acting (i.e. The Three Little Pigs, etc.) speech/diction exercises and stage movement, students will develop age appropriate acting and social skills. This class is held in a 15-week semester and does not culminate in a formal performance. CLASS FEE: $165
Creative Dramatics
(Ages 6-7) Thursdays 5:00 pm - 5:45pm or Saturdays 10:00 am - 10:45 am

This higher level introductory dramatics class, designed for young actors, reviews and expands concepts taught in Creative Play. In addition to more advanced theater games, exercises, story acting, speech and movement training, students will be introduced to simple scene work with the most basic concept of “objective,” blocking, stage directions, as well as advanced vocal exercises and breathing techniques. This class is held in a 15-week semester and does not culminate in a formal performance. CLASS FEE: $165
Acting 1
(Ages 8-11) Tuesdays 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm or Saturdays 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
(Tuesdays: January 17 - April 24; Saturdays: January 14 - April 29 - NO CLASS APRIL 7)
This more advanced dramatics class, designed for young actors, moves students out of the “fairy tale” stories into more in-depth scene work, skits and short plays. Through higher level acting games, beginning improvisation exercises, directed script work and note taking, students will further understand the rehearsal process. Students will also build confidence in their acting and auditioning skills through, character development training, more advanced stage movement and voice/diction drills. Acting 1 students are encouraged to audition for Gemini Theater productions as they become more comfortable with the rehearsal and script-learning process. This class is held in a 15-week semester and does not culminate in a formal performance. CLASS FEE: $175
Improvisation & Acting
(Ages 11 - 16) Wednesdays, 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Jan 18 - April 25
This class is intended for students who have prior experience in Acting Classes through Gemini Theater or equivalent theater program OR have performed in at least two non-school produced productions including Gemini Theater Productions. Students in this class will focus on scene development through self-directed group work, complex theater games, exercises and improvisation work and monologues. Script-work will go beyond the Gemini Theater Library, with student actors researching and working on monologues of their choice as the semester progresses. This class is held in a 15-week semester and does not culminate in a formal performance. CLASS FEE: $175
Technical Theater
(Ages 12-18) Mondays, 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm, Jan 16 - April 23
Our technical theater class covers the application and design of light, sound, set, costume, and makeup for the theater. Prior experience is not necessary. Students will gain experience in all areas, but can choose to focus on one or two for their final projects. Activities include individual and group projects as well as assisting on production design and building for our Snow White and Fairly, Wizardly Adventure productions, as well as "strike" and clean-up of our three Spring 2012 Productions. This class is held in a 15-week semester. CLASS FEE: $200
